The Children's Museum with Daddy

Daycare was closed for Columbus Day and Daddy had the day off, so they took a trip to the Children's Museum. It looks like Marcus had a fun day!

Thomas Day

It was Thomas Day at Edaville and we were there with bells on. Marcus has been developing a love of trains, so this was pretty exciting for him.

Climbing aboard a "choo-choo" was a thrill.

The rides at Edaville are awesome for young kids. Marcus had his first ride on a merry-go-round. The picture says it all.

And Marcus got to go on some other really fun rides. My baby is no longer a baby.

Apple Picking

We went apple picking and had a really warm, sunny day for our adventure. Marcus got hulled around in the backpack carrier during our time in the orchard. He didn't seem to mind being up higher and able to snatch an apple off the tree.

 Our little clan.

Marcus loved the special kid tractor area where he must have sat on every tractor. It didn't matter that he wasn't big enough to make them move, he just loves those tractors. Daddy was a pretty good help with pushing Marcus around which made him giddy.

18 Months Old

Wow, a year and a half has flown by. To say that Marcus has been through many changes is a gross understatement. I cherish every smile and giggle that he makes. He is so fun to be around, and all of his cuteness and personality just melt your heart.

Milestones:

  • Smiles, laughs and plays non-stop.
  • Great motor skills, Marcus can scoot around on bikes.
  • Competitive with Owen over toys.
  • Can be both clingy and independent. Has a bit of separation anxiety with Daddy when dropping off at daycare.
  • Building well with blogs and Legos.
  • Greets Daddy when he gets home.
  • Carries around his favorite book "Diggers".
  • Follows simple directions: “Throw this is in the trash.” “Close it up” (freezer or dishwasher).
  • Occasionally catch him trying to repeat words he hears.
  • Makes motor noises with playing with trucks. Totally cute!
  • Follows directions in songs…”if you happy and you know it” “The Wheels on the Bus”
  • Tries to interact with Owen.

Munchin' like a Big Boy

Marcus loves his high chair, but occasionally will want to sit at the kitchen counter with Owen. It is so adorable to have them eating together. Such big boys!

Chalking

Isn't Marcus just the cutest? I know, I say that all the time. I just love that smile. He's always up to something ...the chalk board can be messy but so fun!

Typical Boys

The boys are all full of giggles during a sweaty, wrestling session.

After all that play Marcus was a bit hot and thirsty. He was such a big boy using a cup (meaning, non-sippy cup).
